FAQ

What is power washing?

Power or pressure washing is a high-pressure water spray that is applied to surfaces for removal of unwanted material, such as mold, gum, rust, pollen, dust, pollution, and dirt.

Can’t I do powerwashing on my own?

Yes of course, you could even build a house on your own if you want! The difference between professional service and do-it-yourself will be the potential damage you do to your property. Professionals know the difference between PSI’s, comparing what nozzles are best with a variety of materials, equipment needed for different parts of the property, which chemicals are best, etc. In addition, it takes time, coordination, and the ability to keep having fun when completely wet all over! Overall, there is a proper process and method of power washing that always depends on the surface material and condition.

What are the primary benefits of power washing?

-Prevents damage -Maintenance versus replacement saves money -Power washing primes surfaces for paint -Protects you and your family’s health -Saves time -Restores curb appeal immediately -Increases property value

What is the difference between pressure washing and power washing?

There is none; pressure, power, it’s all the same!

How much is pressure washing going to cost me?

The answer always depends on the square footage, linear footage, type of material to be cleaned, and which parts of the property will be serviced. But don’t worry, it is always going to be more affordable to power wash than replace or renovate after a lack of cleaning over the years!

Are your chemicals safe?

Yes, we always use chemicals in an environmentally-responsible way. We pretreat plants and vegetation to avoid absorption of the chemicals, just as extra precaution, and the chemicals will not harm humans unless we start drinking it or something. Additionally, Under Pressure plants one tree for every job we do to give back to our planet!
